Traffic Plan Issued for Eid Milad-un-Nabi Procession in Rawalpindi

As part of the plan, 143 traffic officials will be deployed, including four DSPs, 25 senior traffic wardens, and 114 traffic wardens, with assistance from the Rawalpindi Traffic Police. In coordination with district police, vehicles will be parked 500 meters from the procession route to maintain smooth traffic flow and safety.

According to the police spokesperson, traffic will be diverted to alternate routes, with certain roads closed to the public. Key closures include Dar Barshah Pyara Road, Allahabad Road, Ghazi Road, and Ashiana Chowk Mohammadabad to Progressive School Turn.

After Asr prayer, traffic coming from Peshawar towards Sadr will be rerouted to IJP Road, while traffic from Sadr heading to Peshawar will use the opposite lane from Rafi Mall U-turn to Mehrabad.

Misrial Road from Jaba Pali to Chur Chowk will also be shut down, and vehicles from Bhata Chowk heading to Chur Chowk will be diverted to Range Chowk towards Qasim Market via Range Road. If needed, further diversions will be introduced based on traffic conditions.

In the second phase, traffic will be rerouted to Range Road towards Bhata Chowk, Golra, and Shaley Valley, according to the spokesperson. Chief Traffic Officer Beenish Fatima has instructed the team to ensure smooth traffic flow during the procession for the public’s convenience.
