According to officials, the initiative will soon be expanded, with one bus each added to Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi. Furthermore, plans are underway to launch similar services in Multan and Faisalabad, further boosting tourism in Punjab.
In Lahore, three buses will run from Gaddafi Stadium, connecting passengers to key tourist sites across the city. After the inauguration, CM Maryam Nawaz took a ride on one of the buses to experience the new service firsthand.
In another development, Punjab is moving towards modernizing its transportation network with a proposed high-speed rail project connecting Lahore and Rawalpindi.
The $1.6 billion project, currently awaiting approval, is designed to enable trains to travel at speeds of up to 250 km/h, cutting travel time between the two cities to under two hours.
